In Illinois there is an 800 number to call to report child neglect, I don't know if it's true every where or not. I would think if the police have been by several times the proper child welfare agencies were also contacted. I would also think the only area where the agencies might interfer is in the case of the SMALL childern, but I could be wrong, and for your sake I sincerely hope so.
