  Has anyone got any up-to-date information on the effects of lasers
(particularly ~700 nm and ~1200 nm) on animal cells.  I'm told that the
first stimulates cell activity and the second inhibits it.

  Please note the cross posting as this information is n-th hand and was
given to my wife at a lecture who promptly came home and asked yours truly
for a further explanation (how in hell I'm supposed to know is beyond me).

  Please respond by mail as I'm sure that no-one else is interested.
