Pro-350 computer, and am looking for software for it. I am contemplating the purchase of VENIX for it, but would first like to feel out what else is available. If you have, or can provide a pointer to, any public software that exists for this machine, I would be grateful. Of keen, but by no means exclusive, intrest would be communications, assemblers, compilers, or any other utility program. Usage will be general-purpose in most areas, so if you know of sources of free / inexpensive software that does the job, and may be less expensive than what DEC offers in that area it would suit my needs for many types of application. Opinions of VENIX, or commercial compilers / assemblers are also welcome.
