Lines: 13 > Is there a decent and finitely-priced book on MASM ... > Bard @ mit-xx . arpa > ------- I'm working my way through "Assembly Language Primer for the IBM PC & XT" by Robert Lafore (Pub. by Plume/Waite, New American Library, IBSN:0-452-25711-5, 1984, $24.95, paper) It starts off at novice level, teaches the use of debug, the 8088 instructions set, and has a chapter or two on IBM's macro assembler, either ASM or MASM. It also deals with DOS and the machine's innards, such as generating sounds, disk access, graphics... I don't know if this is what you want, but it is well done (as of 20% of the way through) and not too expensive. --henry schaffer
