I used Hippo C and found it to be s-l-o-w.  For compilation, Level 2 on a RAM
disk was no faster than some other compilers on floppies.

To be fair, I have not used this compiler for more than a few minutes.  The
Hippo C folks promised to send me a review copy but never did.  Hippo C may
well have something to recommend it, but I sure wouldn't know about it.  I
put this compiler in the same class as Softworks C:  at the bottom.
