No, my refrigerator doesn't have "adjustable" shelves at all... there are just some plastic pegs sticking out... the top shelf has a spare pair of pegs, so that you can make the space under it larger or smaller, but if you make it large enough to hold a 3-liter coke sideways, it's too short on top to hold regular bottles, and vice versa.
