For the record, AT&T has had such a policy for many years. The most
recent official "EQUAL OPPORTUNITY POLICY" statement, dated 2-18-85,
puts it as follows:

"AT&T .... believes that a person's sexual orientation is strictly
personal, and shall not be (among factors) used as criteria in
employment decisions." (my elipsis)
