Actually, it sounds more like ISLAND OF THE BURNING DAMNED, a.k.a. ISLAND OF
THE BURNING DOOMED) (1967), with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing (based on
the John Lymington novel THE NIGHT OF THE BIG HEAT).

(If this doesn't prove that Mark Leeper and Evelyn Leeper are two different
people, then nothing will! :-))
