In the "non-Sean-Connery-non-Roger-Moore-James-Bond-Movie" (a.k.a. "On Her Majesty's Secret Service") Mrs. James Bond (!) did not meet such a kind fate. Tracey Bond gets shot down in the final scene, a fact made even more tragic by the fact that Diana Rigg (a.k.a. Mrs. Emma Peel) played the role. Perhaps that's why George Laraby (sp?) never got a second chance.
