The Twin Pines Mall changes to the Lone Pine Mall in the modified
future.

Doc Brown says that the land the mall is on used to belong to Old
Man Peabody. So when Marty travels back in time, he ends up in
Peabody's farm and, when making his hasty getaway, runs over one
of two pines growing near Peabody's mailbox. A sign says "Twin
Pines Ranch" and you can hear Peabody say as Marty drives off,
"You son of a bitch! You killed a pine!"
