The great Yardbird would have been 65 today! Which sounds like resason
enough for a party.

Ah, but to hear him bouncing Billie. But meanwhile Max was making wax,
while Miles was carving the bird of paradise, Dizzy was munching on
salt peanuts and Bud was chasing polka dots and moonbeams.

And how about that night in Birdland, when Fats got a respite from TB
and heroin to blow round midnight? Or the summit meeting at Birdland
