I've only seen about five Dead shows in the last year, but this was far below par. The equipment problems were not really that severe, I just thought the dead, especially Jerry, were not up to the occasion. "slight parking problem" is an understatement. It took hours for some people to get out of the lot at Boreal after the show. The last Dead show the same promoters put on, Grass Valley 9/18/83, also had a long unparking delay. The location and weather were fantastic. The only problem was it was very dusty anywhere near the front. Reminds one of the Ventura county dust bowl. T-shirt stands and other concessions above average, also, no shortage of facilities, so I would give whoever staged this show maybe a B-minus overall. steve
