(Vol 1, 1975 University of Oklahoma Press, ISBM: 0-8061-1219-0) (Vol 2, 1980 ISBM: 0-8061-1607-2). Each book is about 200 pages long with many illustrations. Teeter is an authorized Martin repair man working out of Oklahoma City. It's quite a sight to see all these Martins in various states of disassembly. He seems to have pretty complete instructions for bridge replacement, and neck and intonation adjustment, but I can't find anything about string spacing at the bridge. However, on most acoustic steel string guitars the string spacing at the bridge doesn't (or at least shouldn't) be determined by notches in the saddle; the string spacing should be determined by the spacing of the holes in the bridge. Perhaps the spacing in the bridge is ok and it's just a worn saddle that's the cause of your troubles. I recommend Teeter's books to any guitarist. After reading them I can really appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into our guitars.
