Does your site get "mod" groups? If so, hang tight and you'll start seeing them soon. If you don't get "mod" groups (and you currently aren't getting "fa" groups) ask your sys admin if that is site policy or just problems with their configuration (or up the line). It could also be a result of the way you are invoking the newsreader program of your choice (as you said, you are a new user).
