I don't think there's anything wrong with a "secret vote" to the extent
that people shouldn't have to fear their names and votes being released
later!  People should be able to vote privately.  This can certainly
be accomplished if an impartial third party, ideally one in a position
to note "odd" voting patterns or bogus names, handled the collection
of votes.  They would of course keep all legit votes confidential.
