The case of net.rec.scouts is a good example. It was sug- gested that articles be posted to net.rec, and then when warrented (if ever) the group net.rec.scouts could be created. However, I don't see a newsgroup that would logically handle the traffic of net.peace. Net.politics is where it should be, but it is so overloaded that it is unlikely that I would ever read it, even if I *knew* there were articles of interest to me in there somewhere. And if I'm not wil- ling to wade through it, I know there are others who aren't willing either, because I'm willing to put up with a lot to read something I'm interested in. I'm interested in the group, but I see the problems that must be considered. Perhaps a newsletter is the place to start. I haven't seen that many people coming out for the creation of net.peace, and until I see quite a few I can't see having the group created. I'm all for starting a newsletter if that is the appropriate thing to do. If there is enough interest in the newsletter, I would even be willing to moderate (?) such a thing. Having never done this before, it might be nice to have some hints from someone who has. (I would also be very willing to give the task over to someone else who has more experience, or more enthusiasm.) Sean. -- Sean L.
