Once again, I emphasize that people will almost never vote AGAINST
a newsgroup unless they have some particular gripes.  You always
tend to get almost all YES votes since only people who are
interested usually reply.  The results are automatically skewed
to make it look like "most respondents" are in favor.

Note that the ARPA VMS list has been getting extremely voluminous
lately.  If you gateway that in, you're instantly opening up
a pile of new traffic and sending it all over this net.
