Right! Forget about Coke, et al.

What about the 24k people AT&T is letting go?  ANyone at Bell Labs?
Any effect on the future releases of Unix?  Other software? new hardware?


(So far, K.O. plans to stick to tradition - "not official corporate policy" - 
and not have DEC lay off anyone in the near future.  That is not to say that
they're not encouraging some manufacturing types to leave, and we haven't been
able to hire software engineers for years, except college grads.)
