Lines: 12 From: mike%bambi@mouton I caught the first episode of "The Tripods" on PBS (Channel 13, NYC) last night. It's a half-hour series in ~25 parts based on John Christopher's trilogy (THE WHITE MOUNTAINS, THE CITY OF GOLD AND LEAD, THE POOL OF FIRE). So far, it seems quite well done. I have a soft spot in my heart for the trilogy, since it was some of the first SF I read, and if it's showing in your area, you may want to check it out, too. - Mike
