It widens your life experiences and provides a lot of entertainment. You double or triple your circle of friends or (fiends) and you can never be sure what's going to happen next. I think the single most important reason for not living alone is boredom. My boyfriend lives alone and prefers it but he's weird (you know the med student). But as for me, imagine coming home everyday to the same old mess, the same old tv, the same old routine. Now the other night, my roommate moved in at 2 a.m. with her sister. She barged into the room and turned on the light. I sat up (talking in my sleep) oh no my clock must have stopped it says two a.m. She brought her sister along and gave me the latest scoop on the Walk-In (or Valley) Killer in L.A. See? It would have been a boring night if I had lived alone. Since I'm 25 and a grad student I've had so many roommates that I've lost count. I found each one to be interesting and fun to be with, even the "bad" ones--they provide the spiciest stories to tell. Either I just like people or I hate to be alone or both. Clare
