As a child I even got nightmares from Bugs Bunny cartoons (Remember the little guy from outer space who tried to take Bugs back with him as a specimin? And those big bird-like aliens that got Daffy Duck?). Even today, anything more intense than Twilight Zone is too much for me. I think I know why guys try to take dates to horror movies. The adrenaline rush of fear (especially when you know it's safe and make-believe) sometimes can intensify other emotions (eg. love, passion). The caffein in chocalate has a similar effect, which is why chocolate candy is such a traditional courting gift (eg. for Valentine's Day). Maybe this has something to do with why some women are attracted to brutal, violent men. A man who frightens you can never be dull and boring. Frank Silbermann
