Who've you met? Started any pen pal relationships because of it? I'm asking sincerely, not to be flip. I'm sure lots of friendships and love relationships started here. I hope to start a few myself! Sometimes it's helpful to be explicit about the fact that you are open to and actively seeking a relationship of some kind -- and state your conceptions about that relationship up front. A personal ad can serve that purpose. But I don't think net.personals would be very productive. The ratio of men to women on the net is extremely lopsided (assuming you're seeking a heterosexual relationship). Then again, maybe that's exactly the best atmosphere for something like personal ads.
