What do you do when you've weeded out the real losers and discover you've already graduated or are living off campus? I agree, a college dorm is a wonderful place to get to know people intimately, but most of the women I regarded as worthwhile in college were buried under books more often than not. I didn't pay much attention to the ones who never were... So how about "real world" places? I discovered recently that nine holes of golf make for some nice, casual conversation, and a chance to observe someone for a couple of hours. Amazing what conclusions you can jump to about a personality just by watching how someone reacts to good/bad shots (not to imply that golf is a general purpose personality analyzer). Unfortunately, I would place the odds of being randomly paired up with another single woman between now and the end of the season at slightly less than nil. (Fortunately, one random pairing led to several hours of enjoyable conversation. What more could one ask of a random distribution funtion?) Jonathan E.
