Although I agree that you don't need the interaction of a bulletin board to make net.personals work, I do think it deserves better than to be "just a collection of advertisments." I can't see a moderator sifting through all this stuff and I personally would rather not see all that stuff in my mail box every day. Remember the Bandykins mailing list? Not a really apropos place for personals. Net.personals would probably see little discussion.
