Maybe most of >what passes for love these days *is* infatuation... > Why are you surprised and bewildered by the quantity of people who don't want long-term relationships? My not wanting one has nothing to do with whether or not I'm in love, my ability to commit to someone or a sense of responsibility. First off - I am very interested in my career right now. Anything that would take away my concentration from that (marriage - or even a very serious, exclusive relationship) is definitely not what I want. Second - I want the freedom to travel and even move when I want to. Third - I'm simply not a very monogamous person (emotionally or physically). I am committed to my friends (SOs and XSOs included) and would do anything for them except share my entire life with them. You know Andy - we seem to have quite a bit of trouble communuicating, at least by this medium, so I'm not sure how much we agree or disagree on anything - but I like you. cheers - elizabeth g. purtell (Lady Godiva)
