Some of you out there may be interested in this reply I received
on my query about _Cheers_ in Boston:

I went to the Bull & Finch Pub (aka Cheers) for the first time last week
as a 'tourist' -- I just moved to the Boston metro area and was our with
some friends being touristy :-)  Anyway, the place has been overrun with
tourists and has, therefore, lost some of its original atmosphere, but
you can sense that some of the 'Cheers' atmosphere still lingers.  There
was an article in last week's Globe about the place, as a matter of fact,
that mentioned the fact that the place used to be much more interesting
before the show.  No surprise, I guess!  Anyway, the bar still has *some*
of the original atmosphere and it is worth popping into if you're ever
around here.  I did note, however, that they got all of their 'Best of
Boston' awards BEFORE the TV show ever aired...  (and they haven't gotten
any since!)  Still, my Strawberry Marguerita was not bad at all.
