I hope people will find this far better than then net. Fisrt a person sends to {ihnp4!inmet|{harvard|cca}!ima}!pbear!personals their FULL return path from pbear back to their system, and encloses their personal. If a person wants to include two or more, then thats fine. they will each be subdivided out. the names will be repaced by a unique number to create anonynimity. Each personal will be mailed back to the originator along with a copy of their personal add as it will appear in the list. In the list the headers and trailers and signatures will be stripped out and then name just preplaced with the number. so supose I want to send mail to number 126. I just address it ...!pbear!126, and my mail system will note that it's a personal, and strip up the mail based on header and trailer lines and thereby strip out signatures and headers. If the header and trailer identifying lines are not found (oops, did I forget them???) then the mail will be sent back to the originator rather than pass it on and sacrifice their anonynimity. Once a week I'll send out the list with each new personal having a number, and purging out old ones based upon age (i.e. every 6-8 weeks) Hopefully this will work for you, and save some of the troubles you pointed out. Pass on any other ideas... Peter Barada {ihnp4!inmet|{harvard|cca}!ima}!pbear!peterb
