It might make sense to have a regional personals group, but I think encouraging the formation of LDR's is probably a *bad* idea. Yes, they can work; Chuq and myself (and our respective SO's) are evidence of that. But, be aware: LDR's are *expensive*, in time, money and commitment level. There is a LOT more stress on the relationship, and the failure and disappointment rate is MUCH higher than relationships that do not require as much time, money and high stress levels. So, go ahead and start net.personals if you want; but be wary of LDR's. The involvment starts before you realize it, and then you've lost control. Just be aware of what you may be getting into, and how much of your resources it can consume. --Greg
