I thought the reference (when discussing metal bats) to 
"seriously killed" infielders was at least as funny as my
infamous remark about "dragging the infield with people"
(as opposed to a golf cart).

Also: An error is still charged to an infielder who dropped
a foul ball even if the batter is eventually put out.
