How can he hit 32 homers and hit .322 and not lead the RBI count. As a matter of fact, I think he's sixth or something. That's ridiculous. But it's not his fault. His slugging percentage and OBA are also excellent. Usually the guys who hit for average hit 20-25 homers tops. Only Brett comes to mind as an average (batting average that is) hitter with some sock. Guerrero is the definite MVP of this year. Mattingly is the definite MVP of the AL. The only reason the Yankees are contending this year is because of their offense. Young Don is the best hitter for the Yanks. Talk about an RBI animal! I'm sick of hearing how these multimillionaire players give twenty tickets to underpriveleged kids and so forth. That's like the NY Times telling how I donated three dollars to Muscular Dystrophy. Eddie Murray not only gives 50 seats to each game, he donated $500,000 to some charity. Half a million bucks! That's a class, class move. He's worth every penny of the 2.6 mill a year he'll get from now on. Even though he gets a lot of respect, he's still an underrated ballplayer. Nobody will beat the DODGERS this year. World Series rings are a couple of months away. Now with Madlock at third, ouch!
