One version, the one I have, is a 2 volume paperback set published by the Commerce Clearing House, Inc. Chicago, Illinois. Its republished yearly. Volume I is the more useful volume. I believe the same company also publishes a single volume of IRS Regulations, which is sometimes needed to interpret the code. Finally, a good publication by the IRS is Publication 17, "Your Federal Income Tax", which was recommended to me by someone who actually does IRS returns for a living. This publication is free and I believe is updated yearly. Keep in mind that the code is thick, convoluted and obscure and having a copy doesn't necessarily mean you'll find unambiguous answers to your questions, as should be apparent. Tom
