That was "Carnival of Monsters", with Jon Pertwee as the Doctor.  Ian Marter
played an officer on a ship which had been "kidnapped" and was held in the
"scope" as part of the carnival show.  Not a bad episode, actually.  It also
had Michael Wisher, who played lots of parts, including Davros.
