   To Patrick Troughton fans:  Keep your eyes open for the PBS series "Nanny"
(a British drama starring Wendy Craig).  A character played by Troughton is
introduced in episode 9 of the series (for North Carolina viewers, episode
9 was the one broadcast Monday, 2 September); from the brief descriptions I
have of future episodes, it seems that he will continue to appear
until episode 12.  This character is not at all like the Doctor, and I am
suddenly very impressed with Troughton's acting ability in being able to
portray convincingly such different individuals.
