Troughton also played the Duke of Norfolk in "The Six Wives of Henry VIII". Norfolk was into heavy-duty politics. He got his niece, Jane Howard, married to the King. He later suggested that she get pregnant to protect herself from the consequences of a youthful indescretion, knowing Henry was no longer able to help her do this. I believe Norfolk eventually turned her in to Henry - she certainly ended up loosing her head. Not a fun person. I was shocked when, shortly afer seeing Troughton in "6 W H 8", I saw him in "the Five Doctors". Troughton is a dedicated and superb actor. -- Barry Buchbinder (608)221-5000 Agrigenetics Corp.; 5649 E. Buckeye Rd.; Madison WI 53716 USA {seismo!uwvax!astroatc,decvax,ihnp4}!nicmad!agrigene!buchbind
