While it is true that Pine Valley is a mythical location, it is quite clear
from various things over the years that it is located in eastern PA.  The
intertwining of AMC and OLTL provides most of this evidence.  As for why
it's a suburb of Philly, it's about 2 hours from NY on the other side from
CT.  (I suppose the Lehigh Valley is possible, but that could be considered
a suburb of Philly.)
