There is good news, though! The new 4.17 C shell (which incorporates three different window managers, two TCP/IP implementations, a graphics package for the Sun 357, and several thousand new features) will actually fit in only a terabyte. The manual page for cat(1) has been condensed (by using 6-point type) so that it only weighs three pounds despite a few dozen new options.
