As it is, I don't know which things to trust and which are wrong. For example: The only Panasonic recorder the artical says can tune MTS sound is the PV-1442 (and that includes built-in or adaptor jack) The Zenith VR5000 is said to have MTS, Dolby, and HiFi, but not stereo. This is in the "Marketplace Guide". In the "Ratings" section, neither HiFi nor stereo is checked. Perhaps after corrections have been published, it will be more useful.
