Several places I have read that the Panasonic PV-1730 is a "good" machine. I would like to hear from current owners, or from people with knowledgeable comments about it or the PV-1740. [I think that the only difference between the 1730 and the 1740 is that the 1740 has MTS built in. Is this correct?] Does anyone else have recommendations about a VCR that has served them well? I would like Hi-Fi if possible, definitly want: direct access tuner, front-loading, four+ heads clock/timer with a "decent" number of programs/length of time. Please mail directly to me. I will summarize and post if interest warrants. If not enough interest, I will mail copies of the summary to those requesting it. >>> /// Dave Shaver -=*=- Located at Iowa State University -- Ames, IA \\\ UUCP: {okstate||umn-cs||csu-cs}!isucs1!shaver CSNET: shaver@iowa-state >>>
