Course should teach basic skills for writing readable, maintainable (self documenting), C programs. Have various UNIX & UNIX-like systems available on-site for programming exercises. Class desired this fall/winter. Prefer a format which includes up to 1/2 day lecture, 1 to 2 times a week for several weeks. Should include programming assignments to be done outside of class and then discussed during the next class meeting. A less desirable alternative would be one of the accelerated 1 week classes available from various training houses. Any recommendations and/or experiences regarding specific training programs would be appreciated.
