Dr. Don Herbison-Evans of the University of Sydney will
speak on "NUDES for The Computer Animation of Caterpil-
lars, Gorillas, Kangaroos and Dancers."

ABSTRACT

A  Numeric  Utility Displaying Ellipsoid Solids (NUDES)
has been developed at the University of Sydney for com-
puter  animation.   The  problems  of  data input, data
structures,  algorithms  and  of  display  will be dis-
cussed.  The application to dance in particular will be
explained, including the showing of a short pas de deux
between a computed figure and a human dancer.

Refreshments will be served at 3:00PM.
