Any advice on where I should take it Rustproofing, when done by a reputable shop, is worthwhile. I have had good work done by a company called Tuff-Kote/Dinol, but I haven't checked their warranty lately. My last two cars have been treated by the (same in both cases) dealer, using a Rusty Jones treatment. While I'm not certain that the chemicals and application were as good as Tuff-Kote/Dinol, the warranty is better. Rusty Jones (a subsidiary of a large corporation) says that for the life of your car, any rust coming through the metal will be repaired, or they pay you the book value of your car. The warrany is transferrable, too. Do check the fine print, though: some warranties cover only areas treated by them, which means that if (oops!) their applier missed a spot, it won't be covered! >and if I should have it done by a place that gives >a warranty? I figure that when it comes to rustproofing, I am buying the warranty, and the warrantor treats my car to minimize their payouts. In fact, if the warranty is good, I don't care what they spray on (or in) it! :-) -- Steve Schley ihnp4!mmm!schley Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
