Please register one vote in favor of splitting net.auto into two groups. My
'n' finger is sore from skipping all that crud about "Radar Detector
Legislation" and "OK for motorcycles to drive between lanes?" when all I'm
looking for are the formulae to figure out how many moth balls to use to get
94 octane...

What they are called doesn't matter much to me - net.auto perhaps ought to
be the one for technical discussions (since that was it's first purpose) and
the offshoot might be net.driving or net.auto.etc (for sale, getting away
with speeding, airbags, flames about Halogen headlights, etc.)
