(CAE Systems Division), Sunnyvale, CA Lines: 30 <...> While discussing GOOD FBOs ... On One of my very first long flights I was lucky enough to fly into PDX. The FBO (Flight Service ?) really had a red carpet they dropped at the door of the plane - before I could even get un-buckled ! (no I am _not_ that slow :-) ). They had the fuel truck at the plane within 90 seconds after I was out the door. Inside, they called the car rental for pickup, had coffee, a lounge, etc, etc ... And everything was done with a smile and a nice word. When I returned two days later to fly back to PAO, they had the bill ready, towed the plane up to the gate while I was signing the credit card and chatting with the young lady behind the desk, and then helped carry our bags out to the plane ... sigh, life should be like this all the time. The FBO at Redding, CA has also been very friendly and quick every time I've been there - I think that the name is NorthStar. No red carpets, but they are courteous, quick and air conditioned (important during the summer months there :-) ) I've been lucky - I've never really had a _bad_ FBO experience. I hope the luck holds ! FROM: Robert J. Evans, CAE Systems Division of Tektronix, Inc.
