Message-ID: <53@opus.UUCP> Date: Tue, 17-Sep-85 13:37:33 EDT Article-I.D.: opus.53 Posted: Tue Sep 17 13:37:33 1985 Date-Received: Fri, 20-Sep-85 01:53:28 EDT Distribution: net Organization: NBI,Inc, Boulder CO Lines: 13 Xref: linus net.space:3011 net.columbia:1217 Recently there was a big discussion about weightless child birth. My wife and I were talking about this when it suddenly occurred to her that, without gravity, menstruation might be a real problem. Is this so? Have any of the woman astronauts been scheduled for a flight during the time in question? If there is a flow problem, would it contribute to TSS? Are there any mechanical devices that could be used to help the problem? Are there any plans to use inhibiting medications? If this was discussed before, and I somehow missed it. My apologies.
