Lotsa news this week:

Elementals are back with Comico; Willingham says next issue out at Christmas.

After the fiasco with MIRACLEMAN #1, Eclipse will be prining it and DNAgents
in North America, not Europe.

Frank Miller says his Batman "Dark Knight" series is going very well, and
that he feels this is his "best work ever".  After reading RONIN, this makes
me VERY optimistic...

Just saw Deni Loubert's lineup for Renegade press, and I am
disappointed and angry in some of the titles.  Two are strips which seem to
be reprinted from other books: Ditko's "Star Guider", and Ernie Colon's
"manimal".  I'm sure I saw the Ditko series somewhere, and Manimal is from
HOT STUFF, one of those infrequent comic magazines that pop up here and
there.  It wasn't a great story, from what I can remember about it, but I
find Loubert's claim that it is a "statement" about the holocaust, and that
they are "proud" to print somewhat of a schlocko marketing technique.
Again, fading memories intrude, but I distinctly remember this using the
camps as a story element, not an end to itself; sounds to me like Deni is
trying to sell copies by saying it was done to tell everyone about the
holocaust.  Pfui.

DOC SAVAGE will be on National Public Radio by this october.  Starts out
with "Fear Cay" (not one of the best ones, I fear), but the second is "THe
Thousand-Headed Man", which IS a good 'un.
