It's not gasoline, and it's not hot (maybe lukewarm), and it smells only like exhaust. Other possibly relevant factors: bike is on sidestand and hence leans to left, left pipe has small perforation in baffle, and baffle isn't sealed very well around end of pipe. Another question on exhaust. This bike, as well as my old '75 CB500T, has very visible exhaust. You can see this grey smoky stuff easily when bike is warming for a few minutes after just being started. My '77 CB750K never did this. This is independent of the weather so it's not just hot vapour condensing on a cold day. Type of gas doesn't matter, all bikes were in tune, none burn oil (not enough to require regular topping up).
