First off, David Letterman was *not* on last week's "hit list".
The citation was:

	3. The bozos at NBC who can't take a joke (David Letterman's
	joke, to be precise).

Now, since I've gotten all sorts of mail about this, I thought I'd try
to explain it.  Basically, on the evening that the Today show was on during
prime time, Gumble/Pauley et.al. were outdoors across the street from
the NBC building; Letterman went to a window with a bullhorn during the
taping of his show and bugged them for a couple of minutes...I thought
it was fairly hysterical, but apparently the NBC brass were not amused;
the next night, Letterman apologized profusely...and followed up on
successive nights with tongue-in-cheek plugs for the show.
