I totally agree.  Don't you pea-brains realize that ^L is *clear screen*
on lots of terminals??

Geeze, talk about a little knowledge being a dangerous thing.  It might be
nifty to see your own articles produce a cute little <more> on your screen,
but keep in mind that your article is being passed over in disgust by those
of us with different equipment.

In fact, I'd like to toss out the following three points that would guarantee
your articles missing a large segment of your audience:

1)	Subject:  re:  Orphaned Response

2)	Subject: re:Offensive to left-handed carpentersSubject: re:Offensive
	to left-handed carpenters

3)	Spoiler follows:
	^L

I suspect a lot of people consider reading orphans a waste of time.  The
double subject line is all the more irritating because the fix is so simple.
(Aside to the system administrator who hacked Pnews to *always* rotate, re-
gardless of content:  Why don't you simply disable postings?) And in the
third case, we don't see the spoiler warning, just the spoilers!

Cut. It. The. Hell. Out!
