I'm really getting sick of people automatically assuming gays are horrible and immoral. I'm not a saint, but I have a lover, don't fool around with anybody else, and don't have AIDS even! And believe it or not, I'm one of many gay people who believe in God. Before people go around making such stereotypical statements about a group of people, I reccommend they know what they are talking about first. So as far as I'm concerned, the guy can get off the ship... I sure don't want him aboard. Since I don't get to the net often, I'd like to comment on Mr. Bottom's position on church in school, specifically in regard to creationism and evolution. The Catholic Church (which is my background) accepted the theory of evolution over 30 years ago. The official position of the church is not creationist, though less some Catholics caught up in the fad of fundemetalism might be creationist personally. In Arkansas Board of Eduaction v. Rev McClean (sp?), many Christian and Jewish organisations were co- plaintiffs against the state, which was trying to force creationism to be taught in school. IN fact, a professor here who has a degree in both Theology (from a seminary in Spain) and Genetics (he teaches that) testified for the plaintiffs (McClean) that creationism should not be taught in school. So religion isn't necessarily anti- science. But I agree, shouldn't be taught in school. I like my religion. In fact, I like studying all sorts of religion. It's too bad people like "Rev." Fogwart give it such a bad name. -- CY. Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
