Well, I certainly got some well-deserved flaming for frivolous use of
net.general.  Yes I did use poor judgement and yes I won't ever think of
posting anything there again.

As for Cheese Triscuit, several people have sworn they'll expose the
conspiracy if it is attempted.  If even ONE does, all that effort would be
wasted.  So I'm calling it off right now. :-(

In its place there will be a contest!  With a $10 cash prize.
The project to replace Cheese Triscuit is the Usenet Word.  Let's use the net
to add a new word to the English Language.  Because of criticisms that the
previous project was un-democratic (i.e. composed solely by me), the new
project will begin with a contest and a vote to select the word.  After the
contest the project will be to install that word in the language.

Contest rules:  Mail me your word and a BRIEF description of its meaning
and why you think it is a good word for this purpose.  No later than Oct 14
I will post a summary in net.misc.  I will receive your votes (MAIL PLEASE,
DON'T POST THEM) and announce a winner no later than Oct 21.  I will mail a
check to the winner for $10 within three days thereafter.

Anyone with Usenet access may enter, anyone may send in their vote AFTER I
post the summary on or before Oct 14.  One entry per individual.  I know the
net ain't secure;  you're on your honor not to cheat.
